Meist entsteht die neurologische Symptomatik, bevor ein Tumor diagnostiziert werden kann. Daher sind Marker für den Kliniker wichtig, welche einerseits die paraneoplastische Ätiologie eines neurologischen Syndroms bestätigen und andererseits helfen, den Begleittumor rasch zu diagnostizieren. Aufgrund der begleitenden Immunreaktion sind diese Tumore oft begrenzt und somit schwer zu diagnostizieren; die Tumortherapie stellt aber immer noch die wesentliche Therapiemaßnahme für die Patienten dar. | |
