| 520 | 3 | |a In der Dissertation wurde das Konzept der Kommunikation durch Übertragung von Code statt Nachrichten, insbesondere in Form von mobilen Prozessen ("Agenten”), gründlich analysiert und ein Laufzeitsystem für mobile Agenten vorgestellt. Das System besitzt zum Teil neue Eigenschaften und bewies in einer Anwendung zur verteilten Suche deutliche Geschwindigkeitsvorteile. Als Fazit der Dissertation wird mobiler Code, eher als die noch einmal zusätzlichen Aufwand erfordernden mobilen Agenten, als wichtiger Mechanismus in kommenden verteilten Anwendungsplattformen gesehen. | |
