The author undertakes the analysis of three main characteristics of the etiological tale: (1) the idea of perpetual Creation, (2) the didactic character of these texts reflecting their peculiar concept of justice, and (3) their attempt to integrate some elements of archaic beliefs into a basically Christian vision of the world. | |
