| 520 | 3 | |a Neben den nach 1989 entstandenen Bibliotheken der Goethe-Institute in den mittel- und osteuropäischen Ländern wurde die Idee der Deutschen Lesesäle geboren, die auf die öffentliche Nachfrage nach den aktuellen Informationen und dem Wissen aus dem Westen reagiert hat. In den letzten zehn Jahren sind Deutsche Lesesäle mit ihren Gastbibliotheken, sowie Informationszentren der Goethe-Institute in moderne Bibliotheksnetzwerke der Gastländer hineingewachsen. Die Goethe-Institute in den neuen EU-Beitrittsländern vermitteln Impulse, die aus dem deutschen Bibliothekswesen kommen, und die deutschen Fachkreise werden wechselseitig durch gemeinsame Projekte auf die Entwicklungen in Mitteleuropa und im Baltikum hingewiesen. | |
