The episode tells the story of Parzival's son, whose marriage to the Duchess of Brabant is marred by an unusual Grail-imposed constraint: he is not allowed to reveal his name or even to tolerate questions concerning his identity. Although he explains to the Duchess that he would have to leave for good, were she to ask him any such questions, she fails to heed his warning and thereby brings about his reluctant departure from Brabant. | |
