| 520 | 3 | |a The effect of the addition of different types of waxes on the physical and mechanical properties of Kraft bagasse pulp was investigated. Different concentrations (0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%) were used in this study. The results showed that mechanical strength and optical properties of the paper sheets improved for most types of waxes added. The best result for water retention was at a 1.5% concentration of medium distillate furfural wax. | |
