| 520 | 3 | |a Die Welt in der wir leben, hat nicht ein Mangel an Problemen sondern ein Mangel an Ideen. Es ist daher wesentlich, dass die Wissenschaft den Prozess der Ideengenerierung vorantreibt. Diese Sammlung von drei Studien erforscht sozialpsychologische und visuelle Mittel, um die Qualität von Ideenprozessen zu erhöhen. Im Hinblick auf die Sozialpsychologie sind ideenbezogene Aufgaben in Dyaden (Zweiergruppen) der Fokus dieser Studie. Obwohl darin ein hohes Potenzial liegt, gibt es dazu erst relativ wenig Forschung. Die bisherige Forschung zeigt, dass Dyaden gut auf visuelle Mittel reagieren; daher sucht diese Sammlung von Studien die optimale visuelle Unterstützung für Ideenfindung in Dyaden und zwar auf einer grundlegenden Ebene. Diese Sammlung von drei Studien untersucht die Grundlagen von Visualisierungen in Dyaden. Die visuellen Aspekte dieser Studie setzen sich aus zwei Laborexperimenten zusammen. Diese fokussieren auf soziale Effekte, welche unterschiedliche Grade der wahrgenommenen Vollständigkeit (perceived finishedness) von Linien haben, welche in der Interaktion von Dyaden verwendet werden. In einer Pilotstudie mit aktiven Managern zeigte sich, dass eine als tief wahrgenommene Vollständigkeit von visuellen Repräsentationen als ein effektives kognitives Antifreeze dient, das die kognitive Persistenz innerhalb des rein explorativen visuellen Raums erhöht. In einem folgenden Laborexperiment mit aktiven Managern zeigte sich, dass Linien, die als wenig vollständig wahrgenommen werden wie sie beim Skizzieren verwendet werden einladend wirken, um gemeinsam Ideen zu entwickeln und daher Originalität fördern. Die visuelle Dimension einer als tief wahrgenommenen Vollständigkeit kann folglich genutzt werden, um beide Pfade kognitive Flexibilität und Persistenz - der kreativen Ideenbildung in Dyaden zu erhöhen. | 520 | 3 | |a The world in which we live is not short of problems - it is short of ideas. It is thus imperative that science advance the process by which we generate ideas. This set of three studies investigates social psychological and visual means by which to raise the quality of ideation processes. In terms of social psychology, ideation task dyads, or groups of two are a major focus of this study. Although they show high potential, dyads have received relatively little research attention. Existing research shows that dyads respond well to visual support; therefore this set of studies seeks the optimal visual support for ideation in dyads - at a foundational level. This set of three studies examines the fundaments making up visualisations in ideation task dyads. The visual aspect of this study uses two laboratory experiments to focus upon the social effect with differing levels of perceived finishedness (PF) in the lines dyads base their interaction upon has. A pilot study on active managers found that low perceived finishedness visual representations function as an effective cognitive antifreeze that raises cognitive persistence within a purely explorative visual space. In a subsequent laboratory experiment on active managers using an explorative visual space, low perceived finishedness lines - such as those used in sketching - are found to invite the co-construction of ideas and thus raise originality. The visual dimension of low perceived finishedness can thus be used to raise both paths to creative ideation in dyads - cognitive flexibility and persistence. Processually, these conditions are the ideal preparation for the social psychological aspect examined herein dyad combination.
