   <subfield code="a">The IKL-ALCHEMI method proposed by some of the present authors is briefly described in order to demonstrate its usefulness for a submicron-scale analysis of site occupations in multinary systems. The advantage of the IKL-ALCHEMI method is that the site occupation probabilities can be determined uniquely without any assumption concerning the occupation of a particular element. The method has been applied to the ordered structures and the ordering kinetics of alloys in a Cu-Au-Pd system. By combination of the IKL-ALCHEMI and EDX, the structure analysis can be made for a system including phase separation.</subfield>
