   <subfield code="a">We study the Fourier series expansion method combined with complex coordinate stretching layers. In addition, we discuss the details of the parameters in the complex coordinate stretching layers, when the method is used in a two-dimensional optical grating waveguide. The numerical examples from its use in optical grating problems show that the method possesses special features. Thus, a new formula for the selection of the parameters of the method is proposed.</subfield>
