   <subfield code="a">In this work, we present a systematic study on the effect of sintering time on the superconducting behavior of the Hg0.6Pb0.25Sb0.15Ba2Ca2Cu3O8+δ compound. Bulk polycrystalline samples have been prepared by a solid state reaction method. It has been observed that the as grown Hg0.6Pb0.25Sb0.15Ba2Ca2Cu3O8+δ compound corresponds to the 1223 phase. Electrical resistivity, using the four probe technique, was used to find the transition temperature T c . The highest T c(off) and T c(on) were found to be 116K and 132K, respectively, for the sample preparation with a sintering time of 24hours. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed a tetragonal structure with a decrease of the c-axis lattice constant with an increase of the sintering time. It was found that the increase of the sintering time produces a change in the c/a and volume fraction V Ph(1223).</subfield>
