   <subfield code="a">SmFeAsO0.8F0.2 wires with composite Cu/Nb or Ta sheaths have been fabricated using an insitu powder-in-tube method. Cu diffusion into the core was observed, which led to a fuzzy boundary between the sheath and core for Cu/Nb-sheathed SmFeAsO0.8F0.2 wires, and destroyed the superconducting phase of SmFeAsO0.8F0.2. However, superconductivity has been observed in the Ta-sheathed SmFeAsO0.8F0.2 wires with T c=52.5K. Asevere weak-link effect depressed the development of global supercurrent. Apeak effect with a strongly temperature-dependent peak field H peak has been observed in the J c-H curves over the range 10-40K. The H-T phase diagram was similar to that of a previous report.</subfield>
