   <subfield code="a">The present paper provides details on the application of asymptotic homogenization techniques to the analysis of viscoelastic-matrix fibrous composites with square-lattice reinforcement and their effective properties. The correspondence principle allows transformation of the governing boundary value problems to quasi-static ones. Thereafter, the homogenization procedure is used. To solve the cell problem, modified boundary shape perturbation procedure is proposed. The resulting Laplace transforms are inverted by the effective and accurate Gaver algorithm. The proposed approach, however, yields a computationally intense solution.</subfield>
