   <subfield code="a">Conclusions: The development of the binding (bonding) properties of the cementfree binders (of the HCBS type and clay) owes to the presence of a certain quantity of the particles of colloidal dispersion (of the colloidal component). This factor is also significant in the binding systems of low-cement concretes. The content of the collidal component determines the rheological and the technological properties of the concrete mixture, the density and the strength of the material in the original (as-dried) condition, and its significant strengthening (including low-temeprature strengthening) during service or prior heat treatment. The common features and the differences between HCBS and the clays acting as ceramic binders were indicated.</subfield>
