   <subfield code="a">Summary: Simple models for the damping of the angular momentum are studied in the framework of the Lindblad theory which opens a quantum-mechanical system. Three types of operators are considered for the opening of the system, namely operators proportional to the components of the angular momentum operator, to generators of the proper Lorentz group and to a linear combination of coordinates and momenta. In the first case the square of the angular momentum is conserved and its components equalized, in the second case the square of the angular momentum increases exponentially and in the third case the square of the angular momentum and the energy of a harmonic oscillator are exponentially damped.</subfield>
