   <subfield code="a">A biochemical study was conducted to determine the index of bone activation or depression in ADFR treatment. The conditions of activation and depression were consecutively brought and each made to continue for a period of two weeks. Changes occuring mainly in serum BGP were examined biochemically. The serum level of BGP elevated slowly with time in activation period, but fell rapidly by depression. The result suggests that the change of serum BGP level may provide a beneficial therapeutic index to ADFR treatment in patients with osteoporosis. Response to these conditions varied according to the trabecular patterns classified by X-ray of lumbar vertebral body. Thus possibly, osteoporotic patients should be treated not all in the same way but according to type by this treatment.</subfield>
