   <subfield code="a">Over the last 20years I have developed a process of inquiry that is consistent with the seventh moment, a term used in the early 2000s to describe qualitative research. I use the process, called sketching, to help understand child and youth care. I draw (write), juxtapose, and interpret sketches (short vignettes) that are based on my experiences. This article provides a personal account of how and why I developed the process, a few sketches, and some of the discoveries from my ongoing inquiry.</subfield>
