   <subfield code="a">Conclusions: 1. The mechanical properties of steel 18YuA in the original condition are determined by the amount of cementite globules and graphite inclusions with a certain size of them. Steel with graphite inclusions exhibits greater ductility and lower strength properties. 2. Graphite inclusions commensurate in size with cementite globules (with d&lt;1 μm) do not cause a reduction in the mechanical properties of cold-worked steel. With a reduction of more than 30% these properties of steel 18YuA with graphite inclusions and without them are almost the same. 3. Under the action of working graphite inclusions are drawn out along the rolling direction. With an increase in reduction there is merging of inclusions close together with formation of lines having a length up to 0.2 mm. Lines of graphite inclusions n steel 18YuA initiate crack generation and growth during subsequent working.</subfield>
