   <subfield code="a">Abstract.: Edge vibrations of a semi-infinite shell of revolution and interfacial vibrations of a longitudinally inhomogeneous infinite shell of revolution are considered. Localization of bending and extensional modes is analyzed on the basis of the Kirchhoff-Love theory. The effect of small radiation to infinity is involved. A link between localized vibrations and Rayleigh-type and Stonely-type waves is revealed. The asymptotic formulae for natural frequencies, including their imaginary parts associated with radiation, are derived.</subfield>
