   <subfield code="a">The possibility of using the instrumentation methods and methodological approachs, developed for clean-room technology, in systems for early detection of accidents and for diagnostics of pre-accident situations by monitoring the aerosol composition of room air is analyzed. The results of experimental investigations of the dynamics of the variation of the number density and dispersion composition of aerosol particles, produced during various technological processes and technical operations and during the simulation of a pre-accident situation, are presented. It is shown that these parameters can be recorded at early stage when a technological process deviates from its normal course, often before any visual indications of the process appear; this makes it possible not only to detect but also prevent accidents. 3 figures, 8 references.</subfield>
