<subfield code="a">Conclusions: Model investigations of the hydraulic operating conditions of the eddy shaft outlet of the Tel'mam hydro development wed that: under conditions of no delivery of air and water into the core at those places where the latter closely approaches tl--duit wall, a pressure dangerous in a cavitation respect is observed: delivery of water into the core by separating the flow swirler by a partition with a hole does not promote a decrease vacuum either in the core itself or on the conduit walls; the presence of an axial flow in the end of the swirler considerably (by 22.3%) increases the discharge of the outlet simultaneously with a decrease of the vacuum in the core the cavitation conditions on the tunnel walls worsen; the proportion of the axial flow in the outlet capacity increases with increase of the intensity of swirling the flow l swirler and the distribution of the piezometric pressure along the outlet tunnel is preferable.</subfield>
