   <subfield code="a">A new and efficient method for the synthesis of multi-substituted oxazole derivatives from various aldehydes has been described. Twenty novel multi-substituted oxazoles containing a heterocyclic moiety were synthesized and evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. The prepared compounds are all reported for the first time and their structures were established by elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR and Mass spectra. All the synthesized compounds exhibited in vitro antimicrobial activity.
