   <subfield code="a">Green approach on reaction of diisopropylazodicarboxylate or diethyl azodicarboxylate with maleimides proceeded smoothly under neat condition at 70°C to give the corresponding hydrazine substituted pyrrolidinone as aza-Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts in moderate to good yields in the presence of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as nitrogen Lewis base. Graphical Abstract Green approach on reaction of diisopropylazodicarboxylate or diethyl azodicarboxylate with maleimides proceeded smoothly under neat condition at 70oC to give the corresponding hydrazine substituted pyrrolidinone as aza-Morita-Baylis-Hillman adducts in moderate to good yields in the presence of 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as nitrogen Lewis base.</subfield>
