520 3 |a Antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co2+ or Ni2+ ions were found in complexes [(μ3 ‐ L)2Co 5 II (μ ‐ OH)2(Piv)7(NO3)] and [(μ3 ‐ L)2(HPiv)Ni 4 II (μ3 ‐ OH)2(Piv)4(NO3)2] (Piv- = pivalic acid anion, L = 1,1′-dipyridazinylferrocene) possessing a metal core with distorted rhombic topology M4(μ3-OH)2. In contrast to the case of symmetrical analogs, the signs of all the exchange interaction parameters J were determined unambiguously.
