| 520 | 3 | |a The article discusses the development of a certified reference material (CRM) of mass concentration of active chlorine in water, GSO 10138-2012, which was performed in the Ural Scientific Research Institute for Metrology (UNIIM), Russia. For this purpose, N-chlorobenzenesulfonamide sodium salt trihydrate (chloramine B) was selected. Identification and purity assessment of the chloramine B reagent were conducted by applying gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection. The CRM's certified value was determined by oxidation-reduction titration. Its uncertainty was estimated by combining the contributions from characterization, inhomogeneity and instability. The article also presents the results of an interlaboratory comparison in which 42 Russian laboratories participated. | |
