520 3 |a The pressure dependences of the relative linear deformation of AUK microporous carbon adsorbent obtained from silicon carbide have been measured upon xenon adsorption in a range of pressures p from 1 Pa to 6 MPa at 178, 216, 243, 273, 313, 353, and 393 K. The adsorption-induced deformation increases with pressure and decreases with a rise in temperature, except for the initial pressure range (p < 0.05 MPa). At low temperatures, the deformation curves show that the adsorbent contracts in the initial pressure range, with the contraction region narrowing upon increasing temperature. At temperatures higher than 353 K, the initial contraction is absent and the adsorbent expands with a rise in xenon pressure in the entire pressure range. The description of the deformation versus adsorption value dependences by the equation based on the generalized 6-n intermolecular interaction potential has shown good agreement between the calculated and experimental data in the region of moderate and high fillings of micropores throughout the studied temperature range.
