| 520 | 3 | |a Autoantibodies to C1q complement component are often detected in patients with autoimmune diseases. The complement system is involved in the pathophysiology of gestosis. The incidence of anti-C1q autoantibodies was studied in women with miscarriages and autoantibodies to phospholipids and chorionic gonadotropin. Serum C3 and C4 complement components and anti-C1Q autoantibodies (IgG) were measured by ELISA. The median levels of C3 and C4 in patients with miscarriages were lower than in healthy women. Anti-C1q autoantibodies were more often found in the patients than in controls; patients with autoantibodies to phospholipids formed a risk group. Median levels of anti-C1q autoantibodies were higher in the patients with autoantibodies to phospholipids and chorionic gonadotropin than in healthy women. Hence, activation of the complement system and hyperproduction of anti-C1q autoantibodies were unfolding in patients with miscarriages, mainly in the patients with autoantibodies to phospholipids. | |
