   <subfield code="a">The results of development work and reactor tests of VVR-KN fuel assemblies for transferring the VVR-K research reactor to low-enrichment fuel are presented. The characteristics of VVR-Ts and VVR-KN fuel assemblies as well as the VVR-K reactor loaded with low- and high-enrichment fuel are compared. The VVR-K characteristics improved upon switching to VVR-KN fuel assemblies with low-enrichment fuel.</subfield>
