   <subfield code="a">A novel indium-cobalt heterometallic complex, [C6H11N2]2[In2Co(OH)2 (BTC)2Br2], has been synthesized under ionothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, XRD, TG-DTA, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system with space group P21/c. Its structure is characterized as a 3D open framework constructed by [In2Co(OH)2(COO)4] cluster subunit and the 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate ligand. The used IL cations [C6H11N2]+ are located in the channels and compensate for the negative charges of framework. Furthermore, its fluorescent property and ion exchange property have also been studied.</subfield>
